PI: Prof. Michal Otyepka is developing the chemistry of fluorographene towards new functional graphene derivatives under the support of ERC grant 2DCHEM. He is the Head of CATRIN-RCPTM at Palacký University. He (co)authored 300 scientific papers, cited more than 17.000 times (H-index 66), and 2 patent applications.
Dr. Tomáš Zedníček is Director, Consultant & Lecturer, European Passive Components Institute, Lanškroun, Czech Republic. He worked for a global passive components manufacturer in technical marketing for tantalum capacitors for more than 21 years. He collaborated on capacitor applications and specifications with high reliability and space industry, especially with European Space Agency (assistance with a capacitor bank design for Mars Curiosity’s ChemCam laser power supply). He is a co-author of US Patent USA 7,352,563 B2.
Dr. Aristeidis Bakandritsos is a senior researcher and group leader at CATRIN-RCPTM Palacký University Olomouc. He received his BSc and PhD in chemistry from the A.U. of Thessaloniki and from NKUA & N.C.S.R. “Demokritos” in Athens in 2001 and 2006, respectively. He has more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, received >3600 citations, and his h-index is 30 (Scopus). His research interests involve the development of functional nanomaterials and their application in energy storage, catalysis, and biomedicine.
Dr. Vojtěch Kupka is a research associate in Professor Otyepka’s group at CATRIN-RCPTM, Palacký University Olomouc. He obtained his Ph.D. in macromolecular chemistry from Brno University of Technology. His expertise lies in the development of functional polymer nanocomposites, carbon-based nanomaterials and their application in energy storage.
